truSculpt and truFlex in Mount Hawthorn

Our truBody program uses two Cutera devices: truSculpt for radiofrequency tissue heating, truFlex for muscle stimulation. Neither involves needles or surgery, and we use them only after a clinical consultation.

truSculpt and truFlex, explained

Two separate Cutera devices. Depending on your assessment, your practitioner may use one or both. Both complement a balanced diet and regular exercise. Neither is a substitute.

What follows describes how each device works. It is not a statement of what either will achieve for any individual, which depends on your assessment.

Tissue heating

Monopolar radiofrequency at 2 MHz delivers controlled heat to the subcutaneous tissue layer. Skin temperature is monitored throughout the session and the device adjusts to hold it within its set range.

Muscle stimulation

Multi-Directional Stimulation (MDS) uses electrical currents to contract targeted muscle groups. Three modes are combined and adjusted to your conditioning level: Prep, a twisting motion that warms and stretches the muscle; Tone, which contracts and holds the muscle, then releases; and Sculpt, fast, deep, sequential contractions.

These are medical treatments, not beauty treatments, and they carry risks. Your practitioner will tell you what to expect after each session and which risks apply to you. Individual outcomes vary.

Questions to bring to your consultation

Three questions to help you prepare for the conversation. Your answers do not indicate whether treatment is suitable for you, and this page cannot tell you that. Only a consultation can. Your answers stay in your browser, are never sent to the clinic, and disappear when you close the page.

How a truBody program runs

The sequence below is an example only, not a plan for you. The first treatment uses both devices and follow-up sessions are truFlex only. Your practitioner decides whether to treat at all, and sets the number of sessions and the timeline after assessing you.

  1. Before treatment

    Consultation

Medical history, contraindication screening, baseline measurements and a written plan. No obligation.

  2. Visit 1

    truSculpt, then truFlex

Both devices in the same visit. Allow 45 to 75 minutes.

  3. Visits 2 to 4, up to 6

    truFlex only

Typically weekly. Allow 25 to 30 minutes each.

  4. Around week 12

    Review

Your practitioner reviews your progress with you. Maintenance sessions are discussed if wanted.

Common questions

Start with a consultation

A trained practitioner will assess your suitability and answer your questions. A clinical consultation is required before any treatment. These treatments are for adults aged 18 and over.

Every treatment carries some risk. Your practitioner goes through the risks and side effects with you before you decide anything.
